Watch the Opening Ceremony video above as Luso Canadian Charitable Society’s President, Jack Prazeres, introduces our first Virtual Volta with the help of some special appearances from Luso families and supporters.

A sincere thank you to MDC Media Group and videographer Luciano Paparella Jr. from Camões TV for producing this wonderful video.

Thanks also to our Luso supporters and families for taking part in our Opening Ceremony video.

Join our 2020 Luso Virtual Volta from August 1-30, 2020 as an individual or team and challenge each other virtually to walk, run or ride while raising funds for adults living with physical and/or developmental disabilities.

Whether you’re a walker, runner or rider; families and supporters of any age, level of fitness or location around the world can participate and come together for this fun and worthwhile event.

Our Virtual Volta is similar to past years: Participants can register online, raise funds and get active with friends, families and colleagues. However, rather than the event taking place on a given day, you can now participate in our Volta at your own pace during the month of August with any activity, day and location of your choice. Everyone has the ability to style Volta to their own taste!

Challenge your friends, family and colleagues to join and/or create teams. Spread the message beyond the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada and across the globe!

Our Annual Volta has always been more than just a day of walking, cycling and riding. It’s an event that brings the community together in celebration and solidarity for individuals living with disabilities. Your support is a vital part of our success and we invite you to participate with purpose over the month of August. Join us and help Luso Canadian Charitable Society continue to build for a better tomorrow for those living with disabilities!
