On November 30, 2019, Luso Support Centre Toronto celebrated the 10th Annual Celebration of Abilities, showcasing the many talents of our participants to various families, friends, community members and our local Portuguese media.
Over 350 guests were in attendance to help us celebrate and enjoy our participants performing different songs, dances and sharing their special poems and stories about why they love Luso. Our final song brought some tears and touched the hearts of many, serving as a reminder of just how special and brilliant our participants are.
A big thank you to Luso’s President, Jack Prazeres & CEO/Executive Director, Heather Grand, for their tireless work in helping Luso grow into the successful organization it is. We would also like to thank our dedicated staff, LIUNA Local 183 for donating the use of Gerry Gallagher Hall for our event, Europa Catering for providing another fantastic meal service, Tony da Silva from TNT FX & DJ Jamie for their great music and lighting and to our wonderful families, friends and staff for donating goodies for our bake sale.
