Luso’s 14th Annual Gala, presented by LiUNA Local 183, exceeded all expectations! More than 800 guests had an evening of celebration and entertainment, enjoying an amazing antipasto bar, welcome prosecco, a sumptuous dinner, plus port and gelato stations on-site. Live entertainment was provided by the talented Grenville Pinto and the ever-popular Andy De Campos.
Distinguished Contributors, our key Luso supporters, were recipients of custom-made wooden clocks, in recognition of their significant contribution.
During the evening, guests learned more about the changing needs of aging Luso participants and their families from key-note speaker Christine Rodrigues, a Luso board member, and sister of our participant Sandra. Luso President Jack A. Prazeres announced details of Luso’s two upcoming residential projects, planned for Hamilton and Toronto, in response to these needs!
Numerous special guests were in attendance, including H.E. the Ambassador of Portugal to Canada, the Consul General of Portugal to Toronto, several Canadian political figures and a representative of Peel Regional Police.
Sincere thanks to the many generous supporters and guests at the event. More than $340,000 was raised in support of individuals living with disabilities! Thank you to our generous attendees, sponsors, organizing committee, media partners, volunteers, Pearson Convention Center staff, and many others that made the evening a success. Thank you also to Bill Moniz, for emceeing!
Mark your calendars for March 9, 2024, for our 15th Annual Gala Dinner!
