Our 16^th Annual Newsletter is now available!

We invite you to learn about our achievements in 2023 and celebrate Luso  participants from our three Support Centres in Toronto, Hamilton, and Peel. In this edition, we extend our gratitude to all the generous contributors who supported our mission of Moving Forward, enhancing and expanding access to programs and services for individuals and families living with disabilities.

Luso is recognized as a lifeline, providing much-needed relief and support to families and caregivers whose loved ones are transitioning from school to adulthood. These vulnerable individuals face the harsh reality of ongoing battles to access simple daily services or to be provided with the social stimulation and interaction they so rightfully deserve!

We offer enriching, vibrant, and empowering Day Programs and Respite Care, but more is needed! There is a critical lack of adequate supportive housing for persons with developmental disabilities in Ontario.

Luso’s Residential Building Campaign is the solution to this problem and the next steppingstone in the history of our community. Our upcoming housing projects planned for Hamilton and Toronto will provide families with the answer they seek: a caring home built for Luso participants and staffed with the professional, quality staff Luso is known for.

Luso is committed to making a difference in the community, advocating for those with disabilities, and ensuring their unique needs are not overlooked in conversations around funding, medical care, or housing.

Our Newsletter celebrates the contribution those with special needs bring to our community and tells the story of our progress and path ahead.
